１. Get close to Ryoma – Apr.7th ~ Jun. 3rd in 2018

Ryoma Sakamoto is one of the most popular a great man in Japanese history. His 5.3m of monument is standing at Katsurahama Park in Kouchi city because it’s his home town. He is wearing Samurai costume and western boots, and seeing the great Pacific Ocean that is spreading before him. It stands for his greatness around that time. The monument is total 13.5 m of height including the pedestal. We can look up him. But in「Get close to Ryoma」period – April to June – there will be 13m of observatory installed right next to the Ryoma monument. So we can see Ryoma monument with same height and see around the Pacific Ocean with same sight as Ryoma monument. There are also huge Ryoma panel that has hole on his face, and we can take photography with putting our face in it. Let’s take a photo for good memory.

2. Setoohashi Anpanman Trolley Train - May 1st ~ 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 26th, 27th in 2018.

Setoohashi Ampanman Trolley Train is the train running across Japanese Main Island to Shikoku. This train has decorated with national popular character – Anpanman all over the train. It allow you to travel with lot of fun atmosphere. This train opens to run mainly on weekends and spring vacation period without winter season. We can enjoy riding from 1st ~ 6th and weekends in May.
A lot of Anpanman characters crowdedly drawn on aspect of the train. That makes us feel exciting before riding. Even in the train, there are photography corners, window on the floor that we can see the ground under the train, and many books of Anpanman. There are also food stall for Anpanman Bento and bread. Let’s check them.
This train accommodates 48 people. You could purchase the ticket on the day, but we recommend purchasing it in advance for sure.

3. Trolley Train 「Shikoku Kochi – Bakumatsu Ishin Go」 - weekends and national holiday of Mar. 3rd~ May. 27th in 2018

Kochi has many great men who influenced on the Samurai era. In such Kochi, there is event that has exhibition of historical documents for great men. As a part of the event, the trolley train that has draw of Samurai will be operated between Mar. 3rd and May. 27th, only on weekends and national holiday. The 6 Samurais including Ryoma Sakamoto are drawn with dark brown color. This is the historical roman train. Since this train has no door, we can feel a sense of release. We can see the great view of Pacific Ocean and Niyodo river which named 「Niyodo Blue」. We can also move to normal train during on board. It is good for cold weather. We can also purchase local specialty in the train. Let’s check it.

4. Flower Park Urashima Margaret – late April ~ middle May in 2018

Flower park Urashima located at huge farm facing on Setonaikai has pink Margaret blossom between late April and middle May every year. This place is quite familiar among Japanese people as the legend spot for old story -「Urashima Taro」. There are beautiful blue sky and ocean, and contrast with colorful flower of island. Mitoyo city has the richest harvest of Margaret in Japan. We can enjoy taking a walk surrounded by beautiful Margaret blossom in the park. There is no fee for entrance. We can reach a beach side by only 2 min walk from the flower spot. A number of island floating on the ocean can be watched from the coast. It is recommended place for the people who want leisure time. In addition, there is not only Margaret, but also beautiful orange color calendula can be seen in this period.

5. Tsutsuji Festival （Fuji Mountain Park）- Apr. 25th ~ May. 15th in 2018

In the Fuji Mountain Park that is known as one of the greatest place for Tsutsuji in west Japan, Tsutsuji Festival will be held in between April and May. About 63000 of Tsutsuji blossoms will be the awesome scenery. We can see pink gradation on the top of Fuji Mountain. It is like we are getting lost in a wonder land. A lot of tourists visit here to see this beautiful scenery. There is observatory that helps you to look around Osu Bonchi, and playground for children, so it is recommended place for a family. There are also roller slider and athletic course. We can enjoy exercise while enjoy looking the Tsutsuji flower.
